OUR IMPACT IN 2023

Created the Hennessy Institute for Cancer Prevention and Applied Molecular Medicine, part of the Hackensack Meridian John Theurer Cancer Center, with the goal of reducing cancer and preventing cancer recurrence by partnering with patients to help mitigate risk factors, detect cancer earlier and develop interception strategies to improve outcomes through precision medicine and precision cancer prevention.

Continued support for the Hennessy Foundation BRCA Ovarian Cancer Research Fund for advances in research for prevention early detection, and screening of BRCA-related ovarian cancer preformed in the Basser Center for BRCA in the Abramson Cancer Center.

Through OCRA's Partners in Science program, the Foundation has selected and sponsored the work of OCRA-funded scientist, Simon Gayther, PhD of Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in connection with the iPSC Modeling of Ovarian Cancers in BRCA1 and BRCA2 Mutation Carriers.

Continued support for The Lep Foundation's scholarship programs that provide financial assistance to  students who suffer from physical disabilities and economical hardship

Collaborated with the Diocese of Trenton to enable its school leaders to create personalized summer programming in 14 local catholic elementary schools to address learning loss due to the disruptions caused by Covid-19

Sponsored the St. Joseph's Men's Guild Annual Golf Outing which helps to provide support to the parish's activities and outreach to the community.

Provided a grant to Rider University  to assist with securing technology and equipment that will enhance teaching and bolster student learning in the Mike and Patti Hennessy Science and Technology Center
